Bulkhead Feedthroughs

Bulkhead Feedthroughs

CAES Bulkhead Feedthroughs are available for both rectangular and double ridge waveguides. 

For rectangular waveguides, our bulkhead units cover sizes WR-22 to WR-187 and sizes WRD-180 thru WRD-475 for double ridge waveguides. Assemblies include hardware and silicone rubber bulkhead gasket for mounting purposes and feature a VSWR of less than 1.10.

CAES Drain Units are offered for both rectangular and double ridge waveguide designs.

Our rectangular waveguide drain units are constructed using a combination of all clear or all tapped, aluminum or brass, cover or groove type flanges and covering the waveguide sizes WR-28 to WR-187. VSWR is less than 1.10. CAES’ double ridge waveguide drain units utilize a combined construction of all clear or all tapped, cover or gasket type aluminum flanges and support waveguide sizes WRD-180 through WRD-475. VSWR is less than 1.10.

Flanges

No matter your waveguide size, shape or design or application, CAES has a flange to meet your design needs.

Designed with our leading waveguide development expertise and application knowledge, CAES Flanges are offered in a variety offers a solutions and deliver minimal insertion loss when joining waveguide sections. For rectangular waveguides, we provide flanges for sizes W22 through WR430 and in cover, choke, or grooved configurations. CAES also offers a standard product line of double-ridge waveguide flanges for the waveguide sizes WRD180 through WRD250 per Mil-W-23351. These flanges are available in aluminum and are provided in either cover or gasket configurations. Alternate materials and configurations are available on request.

Gaskets

Gaskets

CAES has an extensive range of waveguide gaskets across sizes, designs, and applications. 

Designed with our leading waveguide development expertise and application knowledge, CAES Waveguide Gaskets are offered in a variety of options, sizing and materials.

Our standard gaskets are made to fit CPR, UG and CMR flanges, and we can also produce other forms to fit other flange designs. These gaskets can be supplied either molded or die cut in a wide range of compounds. CAES stocks a wide variety of fluorosilicone and conductive silicone rectangular waveguide UG and CPR style gaskets. In addition, CAES supplies a series of conductive silicone double ridge waveguide grooved-flange gaskets. These gaskets are manufactured from a silver impregnated silicone fluorolastomer compound.

Power Samplers

CAES manufactures a wide range of waveguide power samplers for your designs.

CAES Power Samplers deliver an efficient and economical way for monitoring power in matched waveguide systems where high directivity is not a concern. Offered for both rectangular and double ridge waveguide system designs, our power samplers deliver main line VSWR of 1.10 maximum and standard couples values are available from 30 to 60 dB with coupling flatness maintained ±1.0 dB.

We offer a standard product line of rectangular waveguide pressure drain units constructed using a combination of all clear or all tapped, aluminum or brass, cover or groove type flanges. They support waveguide sizes WR-28 to WR-187 and VSWR is less than 1.10.

For double-ridge waveguide designs, CAES offers pressure drain units constructed using a combination of all clear or all tapped, cover or gasket type aluminum flanges and covering the waveguide sizes WRD-180 thru WRD-475. VSWR is less than 1.10.

For rectangular waveguide sizes WR-28 through WR-430, we offer a complete line of pressure units with cover or gasket flanges. VSWR is less than 1.10, gauge reads 30 psig maximum and a 60 psig gauge is available on request.

CAES pressure units for double ridge waveguides support sizes WRD-180 through WRD-250. VSWR is less than 1.10. Gauge reads 30 psig maximum with a 60 psig gauge available.

Pressure Windows

CAES Waveguide Pressure Windows allow you to keep contaminants out of your systems and provide significant price and performance benefits.

CAES offers a full range of waveguide pressure windows for rectangular and double ridge designs.

For rectangular waveguide pressure windows, we offer options such as standard, high power quartz and high power boron nitride. Our standard rectangular waveguide pressure windows are constructed using all clear holes, aluminum or brass, cover and groove type flanges captivating a high temperature kapton dielectric material. These units will withstand moderate SW power levels while maintaining 30 PSI pressure. VSWR is less than 1.10 typical (1.20 typical for WR-22). CAES also offers high power rectangular waveguide pressure windows in quartz dielectric material. These units will withstand high CW power levels while maintaining 15 PSI pressure. VSWR is less than 1.15 typical for most models. In addition, units designed specifically for vacuum applications are available upon request. We also offer these high power pressure windows in a high temperature boron dielectric material. These units withstand high CW power levels while maintaining 30 PSI pressure. VSWR is less than 1.20 typical for most models.

CAES also offers a similar range of pressure windows for double ridge waveguides including standard and high power, boron nitride. They are constructed using all clear holes, cover and gasket type aluminum flanges captivating a high temperature kapton dielectric material. These units will withstand moderate CW power levels while maintaining 30 PSI pressure. Our high power pressure windows are constructed in a similar fashion, while captivating a high temperature boron dielectric material. These units will also withstand high CW power levels while maintaining 30 PSI pressure.

Tubing

Tubing

No matter your waveguide size, shape or design or application, CAES has waveguide tubing including rigid, thin wall and flexible to meet your design needs.

Designed with our leading waveguide development expertise and application knowledge, CAES Tubing are offered in a variety of options, sizing and materials. 

For rectangular waveguide designs, CAES offers rigid waveguide tubing for 20 different waveguide sizes which meets MIL-DTL-85 specifications and in either copper or aluminum. In addition, thin wall rectangular waveguide tubing and completed assemblies for system applications is available where minimum weight without performance degradation is specified. All CAES thin wall waveguide tubing can withstand 30 PSIG without performance compromise. Rigid tubing is available for nine different double ridge waveguide sizes and meets MIL-DTL-23351 specifications. 

CAES flexible waveguide tubing supports MIL-DTL-287, is pressure tight with no RF leakage. Our seamless corrugated flexible waveguide constructed of thin wall tubing convoluted using an unique hydraulic precision forming process.
